Composer-singer Amaal Mallik is not new to speaking his mind, and in the latest episode of Bigg Boss season 19, he once again chose candidness over diplomacy. Sitting in the reality show’s house, Amaal reflected on how his outspoken nature has cost him dearly in Bollywood, leading to lost opportunities and strained relationships — both inside and outside the industry.

“Aise kain baar hua ki 20-20 calls aaye hain. Star ne, producers ne nikal diya badi-badi films se. Koi baat nahi, main phir se hit doonga. Yeh log hi aage se aate hai ki gaane de do bhai,” Amaal revealed, acknowledging that despite being dropped from big projects by stars and producers, he has always bounced back with chartbusters that brought those very people back to him.
For the 33-year-old musician, rejection and industry politics have been part of his journey. But what seemed to hurt him more was the lack of faith from within his own family. Recounting a painful phase, he shared, “Mere apne ghar mein yeh baat hui hai. Woh…unhone bola ki yeh gaana compose nahin karta, uska baap (Daboo Mallik) karta hai.” Amaal recalled how such rumours were allegedly spread by his own uncle, widely believed to be Anu Mallik.
