Earlier, in a photo caption, Deepika shared that selecting the name Dua, meaning “prayer,” took them nearly two months after her birth—a careful choice that she described as “a beautiful summary of what she means to us.”
Dua has swiftly become the centre of both parents’ lives. Ranveer Singh remarked on Deepika’s new chapter in motherhood, saying she’s “the best version of herself” and that “everything in Deepika’s life now revolves around Dua.”
While fans are naturally curious, Deepika and Ranveer have been firm about protecting Dua’s privacy. Deepika recently stated that they won’t be revealing her face anytime soon, focusing on giving her a grounded childhood away from the spotlight. However, their wishes were disrupted.
A week ago, a video showing Dua’s face was leaked on social media without Deepika and Ranveer’s consent. The clip, shot at the Mumbai International Airport, clearly showed the one-year-old sitting on Deepika’s lap in a buggy, prompting outrage from fans who called it a “shameful invasion of privacy.”
In the viral video, Deepika could be seen firmly asking the person filming to stop. Until this incident, paparazzi had respected the couple’s request to keep Dua away from the cameras. Netizens quickly condemned the clip and demanded its removal.
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in 2018, welcomed Dua on September 8 last year. They officially revealed her name during Diwali, sharing, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers.” While the couple had once invited paparazzi to meet their daughter, they have largely refrained from sharing her photos, choosing instead to do so on their own terms.
On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Dhurandhar, followed by Don 3. Deepika, after her maternity break, is gearing up for Atlee’s upcoming project with Allu Arjun.
