Director Prem Kumar, known for his work in ’96’ and ‘Meiyazhagan’, has teamed up with actor Fahadh Faasil for a new action thriller. This collaboration has excited fans of both the director and the actor. The Malayalam actor, who was last seen in ‘Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira’, is expected to begin shooting for the film in January 2026.
In a recent interview, director Prem Kumar said, “My next film is with Fahadh Faasil. It will be a thriller with action, but my core emotional touch will be there. I narrated 45 mins to Fafa [Fahadh Faasil] and he liked it a lot.”
Although specific details about the film’s plot and additional casting have not been revealed, the announcement itself has garnered significant attention. The combination of Fahadh Faasil’s acting skills and Prem Kumar’s directorial experience is anticipated to create an engaging movie experience.
Earlier this year, Prem Kumar announced a film with actor Chiyaan Vikram. The film was backed by Ishari K Ganesh’s Vels Film International. However, it looks like the project is getting delayed. Hence, Prem Kumar will work on a film with Fahadh before he moves on to Vikram’s untitled movie.
In Tamil, Fahadh Faasil was last seen in ‘Mareesan’, in which he teamed up with comedy legend Vadivelu for the second time. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
