Raj got married to Shhyamali De, who has worked as an Assistant Director in Delhi 6, Rang De Basanti and as an Associate Director in Dabangg 2. The duo tied the knot in 2015 and has a daughter. Shhyamali is quite active on Instagram and often posts romantic pictures with Raj.
Once, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Raj Nidimoru opened up about his wife, Shhyamali De’s contribution to his successful career as a filmmaker. The filmmaker admitted that his wife constantly guides him and his team in the casting decisions. Sharing how his wife keeps him grounded, Raj said:
“Shhyamali De, my wife, constantly advises me about casting. She comes from a non-filmy background, so she keeps us grounded always.”

Interestingly, Shhyamali, who never missed any opportunity to heap praises on Raj through her social media handle, has not posted anything about him since February 2023. Not just this, Bollywood actress, Patralekhaa is Shhyamali’s best friend, and the actress was seen ignoring Samantha during an event.
