Tanishaa Mukherjee made her jaw-dropping debut with Neil N Nikki in 2005. While the film failed at the box office, Tanishaa carved a space as a bold actress with her looks. Another thing that the film gave her was a memorable love as she fell head over heels in love with Uday Chopra. However, they parted ways, and Tanishaa first time talked about her breakup with him.
Tanishaa Mukherjee opened up about her breakup with Uday Chopra
Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Tanishaa Mukherjee recalled her painful heartbreak and two very public relationships with Uday Chopra and Armaan Kohli. Recalling the pain of past relationships, Tanishaa accepted that her breakup with Uday Chopra was more painful than her parting ways with Armaan Kohli, whom she met while participating in Bigg Boss 7.
Tanishaa revealed that she wasn’t in pain when she broke up with Armaan Kohli. But she was more heartbroken when she parted ways with Uday Chopra. They were friends and extremely close as they had known each other for a long time. She said:
“Voh itna heartbreak nahi tha. I was more heartbroken jab mera Uday (Uday Chopra) ke sath breakup hua. Because we were friends. We were very close and we have known each other for a very long time.”
Discussing how she copes with heartbreak, Tanishaa stated that she tries to stay positive. She added that she continues to look at the bright side of things. She truly believes whatever happens, happens for the good. She added that she enjoys the feeling of falling in love. Tanishaa said:
“I am the kind of person who always looks at the bright side of things. I just can’t help it. I believe that whatever happens, happens for the good. I enjoy the feeling of falling in love and I cherish the experiences it brings.”
Tanishaa also revealed that she binge eats on chocolates to get over heartbreak. She called it her coping mechanism for overcoming the pain of love.
When Tanishaa shared the reason for her breakup with Uday Chopra
Earlier, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tanishaa was asked the real reason why she broke up with Uday Chopra. The gorgeousness mentioned that they dated for two years. After which, they decided to breakup as things weren’t working for them. The actress also shared that the breakup was emotionally tough for her. Tanisha was quoted as saying:
“Kyun hota hai breakup? You realise that something is not working. It’s very natural and I think log bahut badi cheezein banate hai uske baare me. We realised it was not working, and we are still friends.”
Talking about how she met Uday Chopra, Tanishaa said that they met each other on the sets of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. They stayed in touch and were good friends, and when they worked together in a film, they fell in love, and it was a natural progression for them.
