Mohit Suri’s film Saiyaara has captured all the attention, leaving viewers in tears at the theatres. According to reports, as of August 31, 2025, the movie has grossed a total of Rs 576.21 crore worldwide. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda made their debut with their film, and their performance left everyone in awe. The movie’s success was such that people have been eagerly waiting for its OTT release.
Saiyaara’s OTT release date revealed
Earlier, speculation was rife that the movie’s OTT release would be delayed, as viewers wanted it to run in theatres to increase box office collection. It was also reported that the movie would be released on OTT on Diwali. Recently, the original release date of Saiyaara was revealed, and it’s sooner than expected. Saiyaara is YRF’s first theatrical project to be released on Netflix. Earlier, YRF and Netflix collaborated on several web series and other digital content, but Ahaan Panday’s movie will be the first one to have its release on the OTT giant. 123Telugu recently reported that Saiyaara will be released on September 12, 2025, on the OTT platform.
Reports have earlier claimed that YRF has been negotiating with Netflix to push the release during Diwali. Meanwhile, a report by Pratidin Time stated that it will be released between September 12 and September 29, 2025. Notably, no official announcement about Saiyaara’s OTT release has been made yet.

The movie, which was seemingly inspired by the Korean movie A Moment to Remember, features the story of ‘Krish Kapoor’ and ‘Vani’. ‘Krish’ found his musical inspiration in ‘Vani’s heartwrenching poems, which were the result of the pain of betrayal from her previous partner. The film eventually reveals the lead’s romance, followed by the downs, due to ‘Vani’s health condition, as it erased her memory. In a nutshell, the movie is an emotional rollercoaster with the right amount of tension in the climax and the ending, which kept the audience hooked to the screen.
The movie is said to have been made on a budget of Rs. 60 crore. Aneet Padda, who made her debut as the lead, reportedly earned around Rs. 3-5 crore, which is the budget allocated for fresh faces at YRF. Regarding Ahaan, his salary has reportedly been a bit higher, given his background. One thing is assured: with his acting skills, Ahaan actually seemed to have erased the memories of the long-standing nepotism debate surrounding him and become a fan favourite, gaining attention with his first-ever film.
Recently, the movie completed its 50-day run at the box office, and in celebration, Ahaan and Aneet shared some photos, revealing that they have been grateful for the movie connecting with the audience and ensuring a soft spot for them in people’s minds. With the OTT release, it is expected to reach a wider audience, bringing more recognition to the debutants.
