Martha Stewart sparked plastic surgery speculation with a new glam selfie posted on Thursday, as she promote her new skincare line, Elm Biosciences.
“My skin is tight. It is very clear. Few pores are evident and my skin radiates good health and good care. @elmbiosciences serum on preorder now,” she captioned the Instagram snap, attributing her new serum for her glowing appearance.
Fans in her comments praised her for how “pretty” and “fabulous” she looked, while users on X had a different tune, accusing the 84-year-old of getting plastic surgery to achieve her look, not the serum.
“This is the face of someone who has done plastic surgery on her face and jaw,” one user wrote after Pop Crave reposted the lifestyle guru’s pic.
“Seriously thought that was Millie Bobby Brown,” another quipped.
Others supported the author even if she did get undisclosed plastic surgery or heavily edited the photo.
“Not sure if that’s Martha Stewart or an AI filter but I’m here for it,” a fan wrote.
The author announced she was releasing Elm Biosciences last month and partnered with New York-based dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali — the same skincare wiz who helped formulate Hailey Bieber’s beloved Rhode products.
Elm Biosciences will debut with two products on September 17: a $135 serum and a $50 oral supplement. Stewart claims that she has the products “religiously for quite a while now.”
“And, you know, everybody remarks on my skin. It makes me very happy because I have worked to take care of my skin,” she said in a joint interview with Bhanusali for the Wall Street Journal.
In the same interview, Stewart admitted that she does “touch-ups” but denied ever going under the knife.
“So, a little filler. We’ve been working with a little collagen in my cheeks,” she explained. She also does Botox underneath her chin and around her neck.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model “set the record straight” on all the cosmetic work she has gotten done in February 2024 during the premiere of her podcast, “The Martha Stewart Podcast,” where she was joined by her own cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Dan Belkin.
“Everybody is so interested when they see a selfie of me posted on the Internet,” she said, referencing her multiple viral thirst traps over the past few years.
“So many comments are about my face lift and who did it and when did I have it done and how much retouching is on the photograph, and I just want to set the record straight.”
According to Dr. Belkin, the secret to the star’s youthful glow is a combination of different procedures, including fillers in her cheeks, muscle-relaxing injections in her jaw and neck and the use of multiple skin-tightening devices.
Stewart revealed that her most important beauty secret is a natural one — maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She pays attention to what she eats and makes sure to keep exercise as a main priority.
“I don’t think a lot about age, but I don’t want to look my age at all,” Stewart stated. “And that’s why I really work hard at it.”
