The pre-release promotions of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’ are all set to begin. On Wednesday, the makers announced the trailer launch and audio launch dates. AR Rahman, who composed the music for the Mani Ratnam-directorial, will perform with his team at the event. ‘Thug Life’ will release in theatres on June 5.

Earlier, the audio launch was scheduled to happen on May 16 in Chennai. Due to the Indo-Pak conflicts, the makers decided to postpone. According to the latest update, the audio launch will take place on May 24 at Sairam Engineering College in Chennai.

Apart from AR Rahman and team, more performances are expected to take place.

Ahead of the audio launch, the trailer will be unveiled on May 17 at 5 pm. It is to be seen if the makers hold a separate event for the trailer launch.

‘Thug Life’ marks the reunion of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan three decades after their iconic, ‘Nayakan’. The latest film features an ensemble cast including Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Joju George, Abhirami, Sanya Malhotra, Ali Fazal, Rohit Saraf and Nasser, among others.

Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies, ‘Thug Life’ is tipped to be an action gangster drama. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran and editor Sreekar Prasad are part of the technical team.
