Indian actress Avneet Kaur recently shared the unforgettable experience of meeting Hollywood icon Tom Cruise, an event that left her almost speechless. She revealed that Cruise was surprisingly aware of her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, which left her stunned.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Avneet recounted: “I met him twice, and I can’t explain in words what the experience was.” She added, ““During the first time, he already knew about my Cannes appearance; it was surprising to me. The second time around we couldn’t speak much. But I can’t express in words what meeting him meant to me. It’s completely a once-in-a-lifetime event, and I still can’t believe that I got to meet Tom Cruise.”
Earlier this year, Avneet Kaur shared a series of photos on Instagram featuring her with global icon Tom Cruise from the sets of Mission: Impossible 8. Both dressed in black, they posed together for the cameras. In one of the shots, Avneet and Tom were seen greeting with folded hands. Captioning the post, Avneet wrote, “Namaste from me and Mr. Cruise to all of India ????????. Great to see you again @tomcruise @missionimpossible.”
Apart from this high-profile moment, Avneet’s fans are also excited about her upcoming film, Love In Vietnam. This India-Vietnam co-production promises a nostalgic, musical love story that traverses borders. The recently released trailer hints at a romantic saga filled with tender chemistry and emotional rollercoasters between Avneet and her co-star Shantanu Maheshwari.
Alongside them, Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan, celebrated among Asia’s most beautiful, and veteran actors Farida Jalal, Raj Babbar, and Gulshan Grover add depth to the narrative. Inspired by the global bestseller Madonna in a Fur Coat by Sabahattin Ali, the film brings together evocative visuals and soulful melodies. Produced by a consortium of studios including Zed Studios, Blue Lotus Pictures, and others the film is scheduled to hit theatres on 12 September 2025.
