Taking to her IG handle, Sushmita Sen posted some pictures of Renee, and she looks extremely beautiful. The first picture featured Renee slaying in a black balloon dress, while the other featured Renee acing her fashion game in a sequinned dress. Along with the pictures, Sushmita wrote:

Sushmita Sen’s legal battle during Renee’s adoption
Sushmita has often talked about her complicated legal battle during Renee’s adoption. However, even after facing numerous hurdles, Sushmita’s spirit didn’t deter, and she did everything possible to bring her 6-month-old Renee home. In a conversation with Twinkle Khanna for Tweak India, Sushmita Sen opened up about her legal battle during the adoption of Renee, revealing that her application was initially rejected and that she fought to bring Renee home.
Sushmita, who had gotten Renee under foster care, recalled the court hearing that had happened 6 months later. Sharing how determined she was in her decision to adopt Renee, Sushmita said:
“So I had told my baba and the driver, ‘Baba, jaise hi bahar niklenge room se, gadi start kro, hum bhag jaenge bachhe ko leke because ye to mazak hai. They can’t say no. She’s almost calling me Ma’.”
In the same interview, Sushmita retorted that she had sobbed in front of the judge and had promised him that she would do anything for Renee. And then, when the judge had asked her father, Shubeer Sen, whether he was okay with his daughter’s decision to adopt, knowing that it would affect her marriage plans? Quoting him, Sushmita said:
“She has chosen this motherhood and one thing I know my daughter to do is follow through.”
On the professional front, Renee has worked in theatre, appearing in the production of Hidden Agendas. She followed her mother’s footsteps and made her acting debut with the short film, Suttabaazi in 2020, where she played the role of a clandestine smoker. She also worked as an assistant director on Vicky Kaushal’s film, Bad Newz.
