Radiohead are hitting the road for the first time in seven years, the band confirmed on Wednesday, announcing a 20-date European tour slated to start later this year.

The tour will start November 4 with four dates in Madrid, Spain at the Movistar Arena. The band will play four nights in Bologna, Italy at the Unipol Arena, four in London at the O2 Arena, four in Copenhagen at the Royal Arena and four final shows in Berlin at the Uber Arena, wrapping the tour on December 12. Those are the only dates the band has announced thus far, though in a statement on Wednesday, drummer Philip Selway didn’t necessarily rule out adding more.

“Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it,” Selway said. “After a seven year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us. It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.”

The band said tickets would only be available through their website, with registration for tickets opening this Friday, September 5, at 10 a.m. BST, ending September 7 at 10 p.m. BST.

The upcoming tour will end a years-long hiatus for one of the biggest rock bands in the world. They haven’t played together since wrapping up their A Moon Shaped Pool tour in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center on August 1, 2018. The band’s members have kept busy with their own projects since then, with lead singer Thom Yorke releasing solo album Anima in 2019, and two albums with The Smile, Wall of Eyes and Cutouts, last year. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood is also a member of The Smile and worked on several film scores as well. Colin Greenwood had been touring with Nick Cave. Guitarist Ed O’Brien released his debut solo album Earth in 2020, and Selway released his album Strange Dance in 2023.
