Maya Devi University (MDU), Dehradun, is redefining higher education in Uttarakhand by moving beyond traditional teaching methods. Focused on innovation and holistic growth, the institution is increasingly recognised as a rising global education hub, inspiring students across India.

Here, learning does not end with textbooks. Students are trained in technology, creativity, and social impact tools, preparing them as leaders for the 21st century.

With advanced labs, industry-aligned curriculum, and immersive academic experiences, MDU has become one of Dehradun’s fastest-rising universities.

    A DIGITAL CATALYST FOR CHANGE

A notable initiative reflecting MDU’s forward-looking vision is the #DigitalCatalystProgramme 2025, launched with the Kalpavriksha Sustainable Development Society.

This fully residential, 10% free programme was designed for 100 high-achieving students from Uttarakhand Board, especially from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.

The programme offered hands-on training in Python programming, mobile app development, data analysis, AI tools, and leadership with social impact. Students also visited Dehradun’s Regional Science Centre for experiential learning and discovery.

One highlight was the ‘Dummy Shark Tank’ session, where students pitched tech-for-change ideas and received expert feedback.

Another was a high-impact workshop on ‘AI and Future Tools’ led by Dr Sachin Chaudhary (PhD – IIT Ropar, Scholar – NTU Singapore), where participants explored tools like ChatGPT, Canva, Suno AI, and Vo.dev.

CAREER SUCCESS WITH STRONG INDUSTRY LINKAGES

MDU has positioned itself as a launchpad for global careers. With over 550 company connections, students gain opportunities to secure top jobs.

The highest package recorded is Rs 43.6 LPA, with an average package of Rs 5.6 LPA. Companies such as Cognizant, IMH, and Running Warehouse are amongst its recruiters.

    HOLISTIC LEARNING AND RECOGNITION

Recognised by UGC, NCTE, PCI, and the Government of Uttarakhand, MDU offers over 150 degree, postgraduate, and research programmes.

Its academic model promotes 360-degree development with modern labs, smart classrooms, innovative teaching methods, and courses designed to meet future workforce demands.

    SCHOLARSHIPS UP TO 100%

Through its entrance exam, MDUCET 2025, students can apply for merit-based scholarships of up to 100%.

This test acts as a gateway to both academic excellence and career success. With admissions open for 2025, the university offers a unique blend of education, innovation, and opportunity for ambitious students.
