Like father, like son.
Simon Cowell shared a rare glimpse of his look-alike son, Eric, on the “America’s Got Talent” set in an adorable Instagram post on Thursday.
The father-son duo appeared to be having some family bonding time inside his trailer where they posed for the photo.
In the picture, Eric, 11, wrapped his arm around his dad’s chair as he gave a big grin. The “America’s Got Talent” judge was also all smiles while he sat down with his pet chihuahua, Daisy.
“Everyone’s happy,” he captioned the picture.
Cowell, 65, has typically shied away from discussing much of his family and personal life. However, he previously gushed about his son — whom he shares with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman — saying that his son saved him from a “downward spiral” following the death of his parents, Julie and Eric, in 2015 and 1999, respectively.
“I think particularly when I lost my mum, I was on a downward spiral at that point,” he shared on “The Diary Of A CEO” podcast.
“I lost everyone, you know, I’ve lost my parents. It’s finality now. What I said about the material things I’ve got, everything just meant nothing at that point. I was desperately unhappy.”
That all changed when he got the call from his fiancée, 48, announcing her pregnancy.
“When I got the call from Lauren, which starts, any call that starts with, ‘Are you sitting down?’ You know what‘s coming next. It was like, ‘Are you sitting down?’ ‘Yes,’ ‘Well,’ and she told me. And yes it did absolutely change, it changed everything in my life. It made me happy again,” Cowell shared.
Eric — who was named after Cowell’s father — was born in 2014.
