    ‘Param Sundari’ Cast Fees And Budget, How Much Did Sidharth Malhotra And Janhvi Kapoor Get Paid?

    Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in the titular roles, has garnered a lot of attention and anticipation from people. Showcasing a love story between a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl, the film directed by Tushar Jalota is all set to hit the cinemas soon. With multi-starrers like War 2 and Coolie still running in the theatres, Param Sundari is expected to compete with these high-budget films. Amid this, here’s a look at how much Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor were paid for the film. 

    Param Sundari is reportedly a mid-budget film 

    Maddock Films, which is known for cultivating it’s horror Stree Universe, has produced the Param Sundari. Although the makers have not issued an official statement on the film’s budget, a Filmibeat report suggests that the movie was made on a medium budget of Rs. 40 to Rs. 50 crores. Releasing on August 29, 2025, Param Sundari is set to compete with two high-budget movies, War 2 and Coolie. 

    According to reports, both movies were made on a budget of Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 crores. However, the response for both films has been lukewarm. While Coolie might be able to barely cover its budget with the earnings, most film’s experts have are of the opinion that War 2 is going to be a commercial failure. Amidst this, it will be interesting to see if Param Sundari will be able to become a hit, as two huge projects with a stellar starcast struggle to make a profit. 

    Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s fees for Param Sundari 

    Param Sundari is made on a medium budget, however, the film relies heavily on the aesthetics of coastal Kerala and also banks on the chemistry between its main stars, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. Hence, a TOI report stated that Sidharth has been paid Rs. 10-12 crore to play the titular character of ‘Param’. Meanwhile, ‘Sundari’ played by Janhvi Kapoor took home Rs. 4-5 crores reportedly. 

    Apart from these two leading stars, as per reports, Sanjay Kapoor has been paid Rs. 50 lakhs for playing an important role in the film. Manjot Singh, who will be seen as ‘Param’s friend and has made a significant appearance in the trailer of the film, was paid Rs. 25 lakhs. It is important to note that these numbers have not been confirmed by any official channels.

    After the release of its trailer and songs, Param Sundari has received a mixed bag of reactions from the viewers. There are a lot of critiques claiming that Kerala has been heavily stereotyped, with many trolling the accent of Janhvi Kapoor. Apart from that, people have also complained about the lack of chemistry between the two main leads. However, the aesthetics and songs have received a lot of love from fans. The return of Sonu Nigam‘s baritone in the song, ‘Pardesiya‘ has been highly welcomed. Along with being a musical treat, the film also serves as a visual treat of Kerala’s backwaters.
