Argentina has relaxed entry rules for Indian citizens, allowing those with valid US tourist visas to travel without applying separately for an Argentine visa, Ambassador Mariano Caucino announced Wednesday in New Delhi.
“This is wonderful news for both Argentina and India. We’re ready to welcome more Indian tourists into our wonderful country,” Caucino said while sharing details of the policy change.
The measure, published in Argentina’s Official Gazette, removes a major hurdle for Indian travelers. Under the new rules, Indian nationals with tourist visas to the United States can enter Argentina visa-free, making leisure travel simpler and faster.
The announcement comes as New Delhi and Buenos Aires expand cooperation on multiple fronts. In July, the two countries held the 2nd Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on Agriculture in New Delhi, with Indian Co-chair Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, joining virtually, ANI reported.
