Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced that they are engaged to be married. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the superstar musician and professional football player wrote in their joint Instagram post.

Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end publicly expressed his interest in the singer. Kelce attended the Eras Tour stop at his team’s home venue, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and later told his brother, on their podcast, New Heights, that he made a bracelet that he wanted to give Swift after the show. Eventually, in September 2023, Swift attended a Chiefs game, and she later said that she and Kelce were a couple by that time. In the ensuing months, Swift attended more football games, Kelce went to more Eras Tour shows, and they generally did a lot of things together.
