Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, who starred alongside Hrithik Roshan in the 2019 blockbuster War, recently shared a candid and heartwarming insight into her experience on the film’s sets in an interview with Khush Wedding Magazine.

Reflecting on her journey, Vaani described Hrithik as a rare talent and an even rarer human being. “He’s my favourite too. I love the person that he is. I feel like he’s one of those people who you wish existed more in number because I think he’s become more of a rarity,” she revealed.
She recounted a particularly memorable moment while shooting an emotional scene in the film. In the sequence, the characters sit on a bench as Hrithik’s character discloses his motives for befriending hers. At the conclusion of their conversation, Vaani’s character steps away and wipes away a tear – a moment that turned into an unexpected lesson in authenticity. “I wiped it off like a child, almost with all my fingers on my cheek, and my director Sid (Siddharth Anand) was like ‘Vaani just use one finger’. And I just couldn’t do that as it felt so unnatural and fake,” she explained.
It was Hrithik who stepped in to reassure her, highlighting his supportive nature and understanding of performance. “He said, ‘She’s giving a phenomenal scene, and one doesn’t have to be stuck on her finger and how many fingers’, Hrithik had told Siddharth.” Vaani shared. This small yet significant gesture underscores the camaraderie and mentorship Hrithik fosters on set – a quality that many co-stars have admired over the years.
