The trailer of Love in Vietnam brings back old school romance with a modern twist
On August 25, 2025, the makers released the much-awaited trailer of the film, Love in Vietnam, which instantly reminded viewers of the classic romantic film, Laila Majnu. The first dialogue of the trailer was enough to set the tone of the film. The trailer started with showing Shantanu and Avneet in a beautiful bridge with the powerful dialogue:
“Premi aake kahi milte nahi, wo hamesha ek dusre mein hote hai.”
According to the trailer, the romcom film will explore themes like love, betrayal and pain. The film is inspired from Sabahattin Ali’s Madonna in a Fur Coat. The trailer suggests that the film is about two childhood lovers, played by Avneet and Shantanu, who want to marry each other, but things change when Shantanu’s character goes to Vietnam. There he falls in love with someone else and is ready to leave everything behind just for her. One dialogue by Avneet somewhat sums up the trailer, which is:
“Kisi ki pehli mohabbat hona badi baat hoti hai, lekin kisi ki aakhiri mohabbat hona usse bhi badi baat hoti hai.”

The film, Love in Vietnam, is directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and produced by Omung Kumar, Rahhat Shah Kazmi, Pankaj Chauhan and more. The film brings together a beautiful cast, which includes talented actors like Shantanu Maheshwari, Avneet Kaur, Kha Ngan, Farida Jalal, Raj Babbar, Monica Aggarwal and Gulshan Grover. Interestingly, this film marks the first collaboration of Amaal Malik and Armaan Malik after their family controversy. The soulful film is all set to release in theatres on September 12, 2025.
