Preity Zinta opened up about her first tragic love
Preity Zinta recently engaged in an ‘ask me anything’ session on X, during which she answered several questions asked by her fan base. However, it was her response to a fan asking her if she still cried while watching Kal Ho Naa Ho, that left us emotional. The actress revealed that she did not just cry while watching the film, but also found it familiar because her first love died in a car crash. She was quoted as saying:
“Yes, I cry when I see it, and I cried when we were filming it too! My first love died in a car crash, so this film always hits differently. Fun Fact – Most scenes had all actors crying naturally… and Aman’s death scene had everyone crying in front of the camera and behind it, too.”
Preity Zinta turned vegetarian weeks before Mahakumbh
In the same session, Preity Zinta revealed that she had recently turned vegetarian. Responding to a question about having Hyderabadi biryani, the actress revealed that she turned vegetarian three weeks before Mahakumbh. She added that she was still following the same diet. However, she sometimes adds eggs to her diet to fulfil her protein requirements. She was quoted as saying:
“To be honest, three weeks before the Maha Kumbh I became vegetarian, and I’m still vegetarian—except for eggs, which I eat on and off for protein—so no, I have not eaten Hyderabadi biryani.”

Another fan asked Preity what something not many knew about her was. To this, the actress responded that she hates taking pictures in temples, early in the morning after a flight, in bathrooms and during security checks. She added that even though asking her for a photo was the best way to get one unless the places were one of the above. She further shared that if someone were to break her ‘no picture policy’ for her kids, they would unleash her inner Kali avatar. She was quoted as saying:
“I hate taking pictures in temples, early in the morning after a flight, in bathrooms and during security checks! Asking me for a photo is the best way to get a photo unless you are asking for pictures in the above situations. Taking my kid’s pictures will bring out my Kali avatar; otherwise, I’m a happy person. Don’t start making videos without my permission – it’s actually very irritating – Just ask me politely, and please leave my kids alone.”

When a fan asked Preity about the secret behind her beauty, the actress revealed that she had no idea about that. However, it seems to be a hot topic. She further added how her face was given more importance than her brain. She shared that somehow, men are never asked how good they look at their age every day, and only their achievements are celebrated. Still, where she or any other woman was concerned, the conversation never goes past the age, and achievements are rarely mentioned.
