Ciara marked the release of her new album “Cici” with a tonal sneaker statement in New York on Friday, turning the day into a Nike family affair with her children, Future Zahir and Sienna Princess Wilson.

The singer laced Nike’s Air VaporMax Plus in the “Triple Red” colorway, a 2020 release that has since moved to resale platforms. The hybrid silhouette layers the Air Max Plus cage over a VaporMax sole, here dipped fully in crimson from lace to tread. Cut wide through the leg, her drawstring pants pooled just above the sneaker’s sculpted base.

She carried the palette through her set: a graphic T-shirt featuring the “Cici” album artwork, oversized sunglasses and waist-length straight hair. The saturation made the sneakers the focus, their molded overlays and air-cushioned sole left fully visible.

Future Zahir picked up the theme in Nike’s Air Max Plus PSG, a Paris Saint-Germain collaboration in navy and white. Sienna Princess Wilson added contrast in Nike’s Zoom Vomero 5, a white-and-fuchsia edition from the kids’ line. Together, the trio mapped Nike across collaboration, archival style and performance running.

The appearance tracked with Ciara’s recent footwear choices. In July, she performed on NBC’s “Today” show in black combat boots with layered tailoring, a shift from the thigh-highs that long defined her stage looks. At Fanatics Fest weeks later, she switched to white sneakers and a mesh jersey.

Nike, meanwhile, has been threaded through the summer’s celebrity cycles. Teyana Taylor wore the women’s-exclusive Air Max Muse at SiriusXM in early August, following campaign placements from Tyla and Jordan Chiles. The brand’s mix of archival revivals and new silhouettes has kept it firmly in the conversation.

For Ciara, Friday’s sneakers weren’t just a family styling choice — they marked the arrival of “Cici,” her eighth studio album. She’s called the project “a labor of love” five years in the making, blending strength, vulnerability and dance.
