And just like that, Big is Team Samantha.
Chris Noth publicly wished Kim Cattrall a happy birthday on Thursday, making him the only person on the “Sex and the City” cast to do so.
“Happy Birthday Kim!” the actor, who played Carrie Bradshaw’s love interest Mr. Big on “SATC” and “And Just Like That…,” commented beneath the actress’s celebratory Instagram selfie.
The photo showed a makeup-free Cattrall smiling and holding up a glass of champagne to commemorate her 69th birthday.
“Thank you for all your Birthday wishes! 💋❤️,” Cattrall, who did not reprise her full-time role of Samantha Jones in the iconic show’s sequel, captioned the upload.
“Go Moon Mammoths!🦣 💜.”
Though they played best friends on “SATC,” which ran from 1998 to 2004, Cattrall has had a longstanding feud with the show’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker, insisting they were merely “colleagues” in real life.
“I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is,” Cattrall told Piers Morgan in October 2017.
The following February, Cattrall called Parker, 60, a “cruel” “hypocrite” for offering condolences for the death of her brother.
It took Parker years to address the “very painful” comments, telling The Hollywood Reporter in June 2022, “It’s very hard to talk about the situation with Kim because — I’ve been so careful about not ever wanting to say anything that is unpleasant.”
She did, however, make sure to note, “I’ve spent a lot of years working really hard to always be decent to everybody on the set, to take care of people, to be responsible to and for people, both my employers and the people that I feel I’m responsible for as a producer of the show. And there just isn’t anyone else who’s ever talked about me this way.”
As for Noth, the 70-year-old actor previously defended Parker, telling The Guardian in December 2021 that Cattrall’s “descriptions of her don’t even come close.”
However, later that month, he was accused of sexually assaulting two women years ago, and his character was killed off in “AJLT,” which was recently canceled after three seasons.
Despite his denial of the allegations, Noth still felt “iced out” by Parker and his other former co-stars.
