Actress and style icon Malaika Arora recently sat down with Soha Ali Khan on her new podcast All About Her, offering candid insights into her wellness philosophy and how she keeps her body and mind in peak condition.
Malaika Arora shares her 3 rules for wellness ahead of 50 on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast: “Ghee is my superfood”
Speaking openly on the episode, Malaika simplified her approach to health into three basic rules anyone can follow: good sleep, simple nutrition, and a strong state of mind. She said, “It’s a mix of everything. I would like to give a lot of credit to my genes. A lot of it is what I incorporate in my life as well, which is local and I have done that my entire life, which is basically eating very simple, home-cooked meals. Ghee is my superfood and these are things even Rujuta really propagates, but it’s something that I have done my entire life. Sleep, water, discipline, consistency—I mean, I know these are all just words when you say them, but when you actually put them into effect, put them into use, it makes a huge difference in your life.”
Malaika, who will soon turn 50, shared how her approach keeps her feeling youthful and active. “I truly live by these principles, and I’ll be 50, but I don’t feel it. I mean, I think it’s just a number, just age for me. It’s not something that defines me, and I feel it’s very important to look at it that way. It keeps me on her feet. I’m constantly doing things, challenging myself to stay ahead of the curve, let’s put it that way. So, I think all these things really make a huge difference.”
The actress added that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated. “I can sit around and tell you, oh, I eat this, I believe in portion control, I meditate, I do yoga I can tell you all of these things, but to the layperson it may seem like, oh my god, that’s so much, that’s just too much. But you can actually just simplify your life to three basic rules: sleep, nutrition which is eating simple, good, nutritious food, and a strong state of mind. It’s very important to have that mind and body connect. So these are my three basic rules.”
