Rami Hawash’s marriage before meeting Gemma Collins
Before getting into a committed relationship with Gemma Collins, Rami Hawash was in a relationship with someone and the duo even had a son, Tristan. While, not much details are out about his previous relationship, a report by Closer says that he was married to Fernanda. However, according to the same report, they two parted ways in 2019. Even after the split, it looks as if Rami, Gemma, Tristan and Fernanda have a good bond amongst each other. Gemma Collins has often shared about spending time with Rami’s ex-wife.
Rami Hawash’s love story with Gemma Collins
Rami and Gemma first met in 2011, at a pub in Essex, England. Since the first meet, they felt an instant connection and with time, their bond only grew stronger. From 2011, the duo started dating each other. On Christmas 2013, Rami popped the big question by hiding an engagement ring in Gemma’s pudding and the duo announced their engagement. A few weeks later, Gemma called off the engagement and shared that Rami said something that hurt her.
After their first split, both Rami and Gemma moved on in their lives with different partners. But destiny probably had a different plan as the duo met again in 2020. By 2021, they rekindled their relationship and the same year, reportedly Rami proposed to her for the second time. However, they kept their engagement private as Rami was married before and the divorce paperwork was not finalised.
Later, in February 2024, Rami and Gemma were on a holiday in Maldives, when Rami went on his knees and proposed to Gemma for the third time. A source close to the couple spoke to The Sun and shared details about the engagement. He said:
“Rami popped the question again in the Maldives, and Gemma had no idea it was coming, she was so shocked. He had lit up, ‘Will You Marry Me?’ on the sand. He got down on one knee, the ring was in a shell. It was such a beautiful moment and of course she cried.”
Rami Hawash’s dangerous eye accident
Reportedly, in April 2022, Rami Hawash suffered a severe accident, probably while working at his car repairs business. The accident left his eye and nose injured. After the accident, Gemma took to her Instagram handle to share that Rami has met with an accident, and he needs an operation. During that time, a picture went viral of Gemma and Rami, in which Rami was wearing an eye patch.
