After collections went up to Rs. 8.50 crores on Blockbuster Tuesday, there was a sharp decline seen again on Wednesday. This was on expected lines as well since Monday had anyways gone into single digits with Rs. 7.50 crores coming in and while an increment on collections on Wednesday was a surprise (despite cheaper ticket rates), the word of mouth ensured that collections saw a dip all over again on Wednesday.

The film saw Rs. 5 crores* coming in and today there may be a bit of a drop seen again. The film is now just seeing some footfalls coming in on a daily basis because the release is very huge and hence with over 4500 screens running shows right through the days, even with minimum occupancy there are some sort of collections. Also, with no real competition around it as Coolie (Hindi) hasn’t been collecting either and Mahavatar Narsimha playing at few screens and shows, the Hrithik Roshan and NTR starrer is managing to collect more than all other films combined together, including YRF’s Saiyaara.

That would be the case in the coming weekend as well since there is no new notable release. In fact, it would be interesting to see if by some stroke of luck it manages to see a rise in numbers and end up scoring in double digits on Sunday. That would be some consolation for the film which has just not done well with Rs. 151 crores* being collected in its first seven days.

Flop.
