Nicole Kidman let her hair down — and her natural curls out — on her latest family vacation.
The “Babygirl” actress, 58, treated Instagram followers to a series of summer memories Tuesday, including several snaps from a family trip to Croatia that showed off her relaxed beauty.
“Let the curls run free!” one person wrote in the comments, while Joey King and Reese Witherspoon flocked to the post to praise Kidman’s waves.
She previously shared a pic of her natural hair, wearing a white dress and posing on the same trip.
Also on the picturesque vacation were Kidman’s daughters Faith, 14, and Sunday Rose, 17, along with the Oscar winner’s sister Antonia and several of the latter’s six children.
Leisurely days on the Adriatic called for a more relaxed beauty routine than we typically see from the red carpet regular, and her strawberry blond mane was nearly back to its ringlet roots.
In one picturesque scene, Kidman planted a soft kiss on Faith’s cheek at sunset, mom and daughter rocking matching beachy hairstyles.
Kidman wore floral maxi skirt ($710 $426) and beaded crop top ($420 $252) matching set by Agua by Agua Bendita.
In another snap, she embraced Sunday Rose, who wore a black dress printed, fittingly, with red roses.
The teen has been making a splash in the fashion industry in recent months, proving the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
In October, she made her runway debut in October 2024 at the Miu Miu spring/summer 2025 show and recently covered Nylon magazine’s It Girl issue. She also stars in Omega’s “My Little Secret” campaign, joining her mom as an ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker.
For longtime fans, seeing Kidman’s curls is a nostalgic throwback; In Kidman’s early acting days, her curly hair was a calling card, on full display in movies like 1990’s “Days of Thunder.”
But she began straightening it to fit an aspirational image, and eventually, the heat styling wreaked havoc on her curl pattern.
In a video interview for her May 2025 Allure cover, Kidman said she regretted straightening her naturally curly hair.
“Why did I straighten my hair?” she lamented, reminiscing over her look from the 1990 film “Days of Thunder.”
“I loved my hair there. That is my natural hair. Isn’t that crazy?,” she continued. “So for all the little girls out there, embrace the curl. Do not follow in my steps and straighten your hair.”
In 2020, she told InStyle that her daughter Faith helped change her mind about straightening her hair.
“It’s taken me 40-something years, but I embrace the curl. My littlest daughter has the same hair. She likes it when my hair is curly, so I wear it for her,” she said.
Faith, meanwhile, is also joining the family business, appearing with her mom in a Clé de Peau Beauté campaign last month.
