Actor Shah Rukh Khan had a proud moment on-stage during the preview launch of ‘The Bads of Bollywood’. The upcoming show marks the directorial debut of his son Aryan Khan, who is also the film’s writer. The audiences got a glimpse of an emotional moment between Shah Rukh, Aryan and Gauri Khan on stage.
As Aryan’s mother and ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ producer Gauri came on the stage, Shah Rukh and Aryan held her as the trio posed together. Shah Rukh then hinted at Gauri while looking at Aryan as the couple stepped aside so that their son could take the centre stage. While Aryan posed and was also seen speaking to the media, his parents were seen smiling, experiencing the moment of pride.

‘The Bads of Bollywood’ preview starts with Shah Rukh explaining what Bollywood is. He talks about the clear distinction between a hero and a born hero – highlighting how the industry introduces many dreams every day, but not every dream is fulfilled – not everybody becomes a hero. The preview slowly moves to establish Lakshya Lalwani as the rising star Aasman Singh, and his friend, played by Raghav Juyal. Actor Manish Chaudhry enters the series as a rich producer named Sodawallah who’s keen on making the biggest family drama ever.
Actor Bobby Deol is depicted as the biggest superstar ever – Ajay Talvar, while actor Salman Khan makes a special appearance at a bulls**t party, and actor Ranveer Singh exclaiming “very hard” at the end.

Earlier, actor Sanjay Kapoor, who is Shah Rukh’s family friend, had also congratulated Aryan by posting his comment on ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ preview. Actor Ananya Panday, who is friends with both Aryan and his actor-sister Suhana Khan, shared the preview on her Instagram story. She captioned, “Wooohooo! If the preview is this fun, you can imagine how fun the show is gonna be!!!! Congratulations Director…@_aryan_ (sic).”
Director Karan Johar, who is considered Shah Rukh’s closest friends wrote, “It has everything that you would want to ‘binge’ on – ENTERTAINMENT AND DHAMAAKEDAR ENTERTAINMENT! @___aryan___ , it’s your time to shine…welcome to the movies!!! This looks like absolute blockbuster material and I know how much hard work you have put into it for yearsss! I love youuu…@lakshya proper hero material and how!!! Obviously you’re ‘kill’-ing it in every sense of the manner, spotlight’s on you and it’s your time to OWN it!!!…Congratulations to the entire team for a smashing start (sic).”
A teaser and trailer for the show are yet to be out. ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ will premiere on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
