One of the most anticipated films of Pawan Kalyan, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 Sword vs Spirit, released on July 24, 2025. The period drama film was made with a staggering budget and huge investments. However, mixed reviews did not help the box office collection of the film. But despite its flaws, many viewers claimed to have enjoyed the high-budget film in cinemas. Hence, after its theatrical run, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer has made its way to the OTT space. Here are all the details on where you can watch the film.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been released on this OTT platform
After having an unsuccessful theatrical run, Pawan Kalyan‘s period drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 Sword vs Spirit, has been made available on the platform Prime Video from August 20, 2025. Viewers can enjoy the film in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. As per a Cinema Express report, Prime Video bought the streaming rights of the film for a whopping Rs. 50 crore. The official X handle of the film announced its arrival on the digital space with a post that read:
“A tale of rebellion, rage and righteousness. The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens.”
Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring actor and political leader, Pawan Kalyan, was made at a high-scale budget of Rs. 300 crore, as reported by KoiMoi. Against this huge investment, the film collected abysmal box office collection and was termed as a ‘disaster’ in terms of earnings. As per a Sacnilk report, Hari Hara Veera Mallu collected a Rs. 116.82 Crore worldwide. Even if the amount of streaming rights were to be added to this collection, the film was still unable to cover its budget.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu OTT version has been trimmed and has a new climax
Pawan Kalyan stars as the titular character in the film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu. His character is an outlaw tasked with retrieving the Koh-i-Noor from the clutches of the Mughal king, ‘Aurangzeb’ (played by Bobby Deol). Many viewers, who saw the film on the big screen, found the VFX to be shoddy, and many of the scenes looked unpolished. The climax, particularly the scene where ‘Veera Mallu’ and ‘Aurangzeb’ engaged in a fight during a cyclone, was heavily trolled by the audience.

As a result, when the film was still running in the cinema, producer AM Rathnam had cut out the confrontation scene between the two and the film ended after Bobby Deol’s character says in Telugu, “A storm is coming”. However, in the OTT version, Hari Hara Veera Mallu ends after the ‘Asura Hananam’ song and shows an announcement for the sequel. The last scenes with Bobby Deol and the storm have been completely wiped out of the film. Hence, the movie has three different endings as of now. Apart from that, many of the scenes with VFX also look more polished in the OTT version.
