After wrapping an extended shooting schedule in Hyderabad, actor Priyanka Chopra has reached Nairobi to begin the next phase of SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film, ‘SSMB 29’, which stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
Late on Tuesday, Chopra gave fans a glimpse of her journey, sharing photos from her flight bound for the Kenyan capital. Soon after, she treated her followers to snapshots and videos from a wildlife safari, capturing moments from the heart of the ‘pride lands’.
The actor appeared in high spirits as she soaked in the natural beauty around her, posting visuals of hyenas, buffaloes, ostriches, and hippos during her outing in the wild. The candid content has only heightened the excitement surrounding the film.

Last month, reports confirmed that the production team had shifted base to Africa to film some of the film’s high-octane action and chase sequences. The buzz around ‘SSMB 29′ further intensified after Rajamouli’s birthday message to Mahesh Babu, where he acknowledged fans’ mounting curiosity.
In a heartfelt note, Rajamouli wrote, “Dear film enthusiasts in India and across the globe, as well as Mahesh’s fans, it has been some time since we commenced filming, and we appreciate your enthusiasm to learn more about the movie. However, the narrative and scale of this film are so extensive that I believe simple images or press events cannot adequately convey it. We are currently developing something to present the essence, richness, and immersive universe we are crafting. This will be revealed in November 2025, and we aim to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN presentation (sic).”
The African schedule follows months of intensive work in Hyderabad. While Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu continue to focus on shaping the film’s ambitious vision, Chopra has been managing a packed slate, balancing her work on ‘SSMB 29’ alongside filming for her Hollywood project ‘The Bluff’ and promotions for her recent OTT release ‘Heads of State’.
