Julia Fox recently sat for a candid conversation with Allure on August 19, 2025 (ET). The actress revealed that she underwent cosmetic procedures in the past so she could be attractive to men. However, now she regrets ever having her face touched. The actress wants to go back in time and undo every procedure she has ever had.
Julia Fox regrets undergoing plastic surgery
Julia Fox is one of the best-known actresses in the entertainment industry. However, she had some regrets about the decisions she made a few years ago. In a conversation with Allure, the actress revealed that it is extremely important for public figures to be transparent. She added:
“Now, when I see someone and I can tell they’ve never done anything…I wish I could go back and be that person. I was so hung up on this idea that I needed to be attractive to men so that I could survive.”
For the unversed, Julia has previously had botox, liposuction, a rhinoplasty and veneers done. However, she now says that she doesn’t have any current plans for future procedures. She revealed that she will probably get more work done in the future, but for now, she doesn’t plan on going under the knife. Amid the plastic surgery craze, the actress shared that there is’ something to be said’ about ageing naturally, but she still has fears about getting older. She further stated:
“That’s what I think I’m the most scared of, feeling old, and there are times where I feel old…tired, over it, disillusioned. When you’re young and hot, it’s like that’s your identity. Then you’re like, s—, I need to stay young and hot.”
Julia Fox weighs her options when it comes to ageing
In the same conversation, Julia Fox explained that she continues to weigh her options about her approach to ageing. She shared that she often finds herself wondering if she will chase the way she used to look or evolve and see what’s on the other side. She added that it could be something totally different. However, she is choosing to go that way, as she just wants to see who’s there waiting for me. The actress admitted that it would be uncomfortable, but she is ready for it.
Julia Fox previously opened up about plastic surgery culture in the entertainment world
In June 2025, Julia Fox opened up about the recent wave of celebrities discussing their plastic surgery. In a conversation with PEOPLE at the North American premiere of her film, The Trainer, at the Tribeca Festival in New York, she revealed that she loves that people are being more candid about the procedures they are getting done. She stated:
“Women set the bar for each other, and I feel like if you’re setting an unrealistic bar (if you’re not honest). That’s really great for you, but what about all the girls who are so impressionable and feeling like ‘Wait, why don’t I look like that and what’s wrong with me? It’s like, girl, none of us look like this, you know what I mean? We all look really different without the surgery, fillers, makeup, and all the other things we do, like face tapes, wigs, and tanning creams. The list goes on. On and on and on.”
