John Hardy‘s Dot collection has returned for the jewelry brand’s 50th anniversary on Monday. The collection features select archival Dot styles along with new interpretations of the design.

The Dot style originally debuted in the 1990s and was inspired by Balinese art and culture, featuring repetitive circular shapes as a symbol of connection. For the 2025 reissue and reinterpretation, the same motif channels subtlety and craft for a contemporary design.

“For John Hardy’s 50th anniversary, I wanted to celebrate the designs that helped define company’s DNA — pieces that balance artistry, symbolism and wearability,” Reed Krakoff, creative chairman of John Hardy, told WWD. “I continue to be inspired by this collection and its quiet strength that has consistently been one of our most requested styles by longtime John Hardy customers. Revisiting Dot allowed me to honor John Hardy’s heritage and craftsmanship while providing a modern update that makes them standout pieces for today.”

Pieces from John Hardy’s 2025 Dot collection range in pricing from $450 to $5,400. Selections from the collection include the Dot silver ring, Dot silver hoop earrings in 15mm and 37mm and the Dot silver seven coil bracelet.

Reed Krakoff, who joined John Hardy in 2022, takes the brand into a new era with its 50th anniversary. “I think the first year was a lot of just understanding what had made the brand so successful for so long and distilling that essence,” John Hardy’s creative chairman told WWD in June.

“What it was in marketing, what it was in the aesthetic of the brand,” he explained. Once he had the foundation set, he got started with new collections, understanding that “product is the foundation of everything.”

Hardy founded his eponymous brand in 1975, designing pieces inspired by Indonesia and traditional Balinese craft. The designs maintained stock in more than 500 stores. The founder departed his company in 2007. Private equity fund L Catterton acquired John Hardy in 2014, later bringing in Krakoff.
