A performance on last week’s episode of Israel’s version of Dancing With the Stars has gone viral worldwide after two performers debuted a routine inspired by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

An X user shared a video of the performance on August 11, which has had over 2.3 million views at the time of writing. The surprising routine saw professional dancer Haim Pershtin and internet personality Taylor Malkov dressed as Trump and Melania as they danced to “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “YMCA.”

Pershtin wore a navy suit and red tie, while Maljov donned Melania’s inauguration day outfit, including a double-breasted blue suit and a wide-brimmed hat. The pair opened the performance standing side-by-side with their hands over their hearts while “The Star-Spangled Banner” played.

They then launched into their routine as the music switched to Trump favourite “YMCA.” Malkov ripped off her hat and suit to reveal a red-white-and-blue bodysuit decorated with fringe. Meanwhile, Pershtein performed the President’s signature fist-pumping dance moves before transitioning into a more high-energy routine.

The performance went down a storm with MAGA supporters, with many taking to social media to praise the dancers.

“So beautiful ! They love @realDonaldTrump in Israel! Signs everywhere billboards praising him,” wrote one X user.

“Absolutely love this! Our president is iconic!” another added.

“This is a good vibe, America is once again gaining respect around the world,” said another.

Another wrote, “Oh my the heads of the Democrat communist party are going to explode over this one. Congratulations Israel.! Job well done.”

“Culture is changing. America has something to be proud of again!” said one commenter.

“It’s nice having a country that loves us. Like—really, really, really nice. Thanks Israel for bein that buddy,” wrote another.

However, not everyone was a fan, and some even suggested the performance was mocking the President.

“It looks like they are making fun of Trump. It’s weird no matter how you spin it,” said one X user.

“This is making fun of Trump,” added another.

“Such fake dancing on Israel’s Dancing with the Stars. The real Trump can barely walk and Melania neither smiles at Trump nor lets him touch her,” said another.

Another wrote, “Tribute? I thought it was mocking.”
