Bollywood’s Greek God, Hrithik Roshan, has once again proven his box office dominance as War 2 stormed past the coveted Rs. 100 crore mark within its opening weekend. The film, which released on 14th August 2025, collected an impressive Rs. 120 crore in just four days, reaffirming Hrithik’s status as one of the industry’s most bankable stars. The film opened to a strong Rs. 28 crore on Thursday, followed by a spectacular Independence Day jump with Rs. 45 crore on Friday. Though collections dipped to Rs. 24 crore on Saturday and Rs. 23 crore on Sunday, War 2 comfortably crossed the century milestone, becoming Hrithik Roshan’s eighth film to join the 100 crore club.

With this, Hrithik now ranks among the elite names in the industry who consistently deliver big-ticket entertainers. According to the latest data, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar continue to lead the list with 18 films each in the Rs. 100 crore club, followed closely by Ajay Devgn with 16. Shah Rukh Khan stands tall with 10 entries, while Hrithik, with eight, cements his place alongside contemporaries like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, who have seven films each.

Hrithik’s journey with Rs. 100 crore grossers has been marked by a mix of blockbusters and solid performers. Films like War (2019), which remains his highest grosser at Rs. 318.01 crore, and Krrish 3 (2013) with Rs. 244.92 crore, showcased his pan-India pull. Titles such as Bang Bang! (Rs. 181.03 crore), Super 30 (Rs. 146.94 crore), Agneepath (Rs. 115 crore), and Kaabil (Rs. 103.84 crore) have further strengthened his box office credibility. Earlier this year, Fighter added to his tally with Rs. 205.55 crore, and now War 2 becomes the latest feather in his cap.

What stands out in Hrithik’s filmography is not just the consistency, but also the range of genres he has conquered. From superhero franchises (Krrish 3) and action thrillers (War, Bang Bang!) to intense dramas (Super 30), Hrithik’s films have found both critical acclaim and mass appeal.

A deeper look at averages reveals Hrithik’s efficiency at the box office. With eight films in the 100 crore club, his highest grosser stands at Rs. 318 crore (War), giving him an average of over Rs. 189 crore per 100 crore entry. This puts him in close competition with Ranbir Kapoor, who, despite having just seven films in the list, boasts a mammoth highest grosser of Rs. 556.36 crore (Sanju), bringing his average to Rs. 232 crore per entry.

Shah Rukh Khan, with 10 Rs. 100 crore grossers and a towering high of Rs. 643.87 crore (Jawan), averages Rs. 232 crore per entry, aligning him with Ranbir. In contrast, Salman Khan, though leading the tally with 18 films, averages around Rs. 188 crore per entry — showing both his consistency and his occasional misses in scaling record-breaking highs. Akshay Kumar, also with 18 films, averages lower at about Rs. 135 crore per entry, reflecting his steady but less spectacular numbers.

In this context, Hrithik’s averages place him firmly among the top efficiency performers, with only Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor edging ahead in terms of per-film impact. His fewer releases compared to Salman and Akshay only make his strike rate more remarkable.

With War 2 adding to his illustrious run, the actor has reinforced his reputation as one of the most versatile stars whose releases are nothing short of an event. As Bollywood continues to battle an unpredictable box office landscape, Hrithik Roshan remains a symbol of both star power and sustained audience connect — a rare combination in today’s cinema.

If current trends continue, War 2 is poised to scale even higher, and could potentially emerge as one of Hrithik’s top three earners. For now, the milestone of his eighth Rs. 100 crore film not only strengthens his standing among the giants of the 100 crore club but also underscores his consistency and staying power in a competitive industry.

Hrithik Roshan’s Rs. 100 cr Grossers Till Date:
    War – Rs. 318.01 cr
    Krrish 3 – Rs. 244.92 cr
