The businessman has once again found himself in the spotlight, but this time because of his generous gesture towards spiritual leader, Premanand Maharaj.
Raj Kundra reacted to the backlash regarding his visit to Premanand Maharaj
Recently, Raj Kundra along with his wife, Shilpa Shetty visited Premanand Maharaj, and the videos of the same made quite some headlines. What caught attention was that Raj Kundra offered his own kidney to Premanand Maharaj. After his statement went viral, users on social media started trolling him and labeled his gesture as a PR stunt. On August 15, 2025, Raj Kundra took to his Instagram story and addressed the backlash. He wrote:
“Strange world we live in- when someone chooses to offer a part of themselves to save another’s life, it’s mocked as a PR stunt.”
After this, he posted 2-3 posts related to strength and respect, which seems to be directed towards the backlash he is facing. Following these posts, he also shared two reels of Premanand Maharaj on his Instagram story.
Raj Kundra offered one of his kidney to Premanand Maharaj
Recently, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty visited Vrindavan and during that, they went to meet the spiritual leader, Premanand Maharaj. During their conversation, the spiritual leader mentioned that both of his kidneys have failed and he has been living with that condition since almost a decade. Upon knowing about this, Raj Kundra instantly offered one of his kidneys, but Premanand Maharaj refused his offer. Raj Kundra had said:
“I’ve been following you for the past two years. I have no questions because your videos always answer any doubts or fears I have. You are an inspiration to everyone. I know about your health condition, and if I can help, one of my kidneys is yours.”
