Asics is continuing with massive growth for the second year in a row, and the Salomon comeback is very much on, according to StockX.

The release platform has released its annual “Big Facts” midyear report, finding that the Gel-1130 and Gel-NYC are helping drive Asics as the fastest-growing sneaker brand for the second consecutive year. Trades for Asics are up 71 percent for the first half of 2025 compared to the same time period in 2024. This stacks growth on top of a 63 percent increase in trades for the first half of 2024 from the first half of 2023.

Salomon comes in as StockX‘s number-three fastest-selling brand after failing to make the list in 2024. Trades are up 53 percent for the first half of 2025, bringing the outdoor shoe specialist to the same ranking as it had in 2023. Major catalysts are the relaunched XT-Whisper, collaborators on which include Sandy Liang and Kith, as well as a resurgence for the XT-6.

StockX’s findings are reflected in the broader market, as Asics reported net sales for the first quarter of 2025 rose 19.7 percent year-over-year. Amer Sports Inc., parent company of Salomon and Asics, reported 23.5 percent for first quarter 2025, driven largely by the two brands.

After being the fastest-growing brand in all of 2024 on StockX, Anta comes in fourth for the first half of 2025 with a 51 percent trade spike year-over-year. The Chinese sportswear brand saw its sales explode by 1,901 percent in 2024 in large part to the debut of Kyrie Irving’s line, which includes signature basketball shoes and lifestyle models.

Coming in at second with growth of 63 percent is Mihara Yasuhiro, the Japanese designer trending for his canvas sneakers with warped soles. On rounded out the top five with 15 percent growth, despite, as StockX pointed out, not engaging as much in the hyped collaborations that typically affect the market.

Individually buzzy models on StockX include the Nike Total 90 3, a soccer shoe reintroduced for lifestyle that’s sold nearly 7,500 pairs since hitting stores in March. Puma’s Speedcat Ballet, named by Lyst as the world’s second-hottest shoe and third-hottest product overall for the first quarter 2025, also claims Puma’s first and third top-selling spots in its Silver and Black Mauve colorways, respectively.

In the broader shoe category, Timberland has dominated with 123 percent growth for the first half of 2025. Clarks and Birkenstock arrive in second and third with 58 and 45 percent growth, respectively.
