Rachael Ray continued to spark concern by slurring her words in another viral cooking video after revealing she had “a couple of bad falls.”
On Sunday, the celebrity chef shared a video on Instagram of herself hovering over a stovetop while talking about how she used to make ends meet on a budget of $40 per week.
“When I lived in New York as a very young woman, I was very, very poor,” she said. “I didn’t want to bother my mother. I didn’t want her to feel scared for me. So I would never ask for money. And I didn’t have any.”
“Eventually, I did a show called ‘$40 a Day,’” Ray, 56, continued. “And that was my budget for a whole week. I would buy a week’s food, and I only had $40.”
The TV personality said she’s always been “grateful” to have learned how to cook basics like beans and vegetables with a “little protein.”
She recalled living off those key ingredients for “a long time.”
“I’m deeply thankful for it,” Ray added. “It’s made my life what it is.”
Despite her emotional message, several fans commented on Ray’s demeanor and expressed their worry, with one writing, “I hope she’s OK.”
“I don’t recognize Rachel [sic] 😮,” another wrote, as a third added, “Rachel [sic]. Are you okay? You don’t look well.”
“She’s slurring her words,” a fourth said.
Others defended the celebrity chef, with one writing, “She looks fine. Leave her alone.”
“She’s having some health issues. Hopefully, people will understand and show her grace as she goes through it,” a second wrote.
Reps for Ray weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Last year, the star sparked concern with her slurred speech for the first time.
At the time, Ray shared she had suffered “a couple of bad falls” during an episode of her “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” podcast.
She didn’t share further details about her health.
