In a candid reflection with Hindustan Times, Triptii Dimri’s acting coach and mentor, Saurabh Sachdeva, has publicly noted that the actress’ choice of films following her breakout in Animal “didn’t work well.” Despite acclaim for her promising performances in earlier projects, Sachdeva believes that a series of less fitting roles detracted from her momentum.

Sachdeva, who has closely guided Triptii and even worked alongside her, offered a broader perspective on the challenges faced by young actors navigating career highs and subsequent scrutiny. He noted the immense pressure in the industry—from financial imperatives to public relations counsels—and how these forces can cloud judgment when selecting roles.
Sachdeva emphasized that enduring success demands difficult decisions. “I think with Triptii, her choices didn’t work well. But she is wonderful. She looks good on camera, works hard, is vulnerable and sensitive, and is nice to work with. from what I saw in the few films I have done with her.”
He added, “All that never changed with her. What happened was that her choices were not right. That is also something an actor needs to learn. You have to make those choices, the ones that are difficult to make.”
Reflecting on her early trajectory, Dimri’s rise was anchored by powerful performances in Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, followed by a mainstream breakthrough in Animal. Nevertheless, in the years following, although films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video saw commercial traction, critics and audiences alike felt they did not showcase her true talent. In 2025, she reclaimed acclaim with Dhadak 2, reaffirming her acting chops.
With Dhadak 2 now in theatres, the coach–student duo hope their collaboration continues to yield rewarding artistic dividends.
