Kith will hold its first runway show in six years Sunday, and in the lead-up to the spectacle, Ronnie Fieg has previewed a luxe Adidas Superstar with a connection to his pre-Kith days.

The Kith x Adidas Superstar “Black Tie 2.0” features premium Made in Germany construction and revives a concept from a David Z. collaboration spearheaded by Fieg in 2008. Five different colorways have been made for the capsule, all of which feature primarily in black and opt for different branding arrangements.

Three of them are rendered entirely in black, including one with a crocodile-textured upper. A second option opts for smooth black leather with gold Superstar embossing near the Three Stripes, and a similar variant features a glossier sole and colorless Adidas Superstar embossing.

Two additional variants then feature in black and off-white, with the latter color applied to the striping and mustache. One features white Adidas Superstar embossing, while the other goes without any branding at the spot.

Other small details distinguishing individual colorways include lace dubraes, tongue branding and insoles.

In an Instagram post previewing the sneakers, Fieg said he’d always felt the Superstar was fit for dressing up or down. Seventeen years after he first worked with Adidas on the David Z. “Black Tie” Superstars, he said: “It felt like the right time to bring that concept back, this time through the lens of who I am today” with dress shoe quality leather, waxed laces, and refined toecap stitching.

Pairs gifted to friends and family of Kith will come in special packaging including a double-breasted jacket, trousers with the Three Stripes, a dress shirt and black tie all made from Italian tropical wool.

The Kith x Adidas Superstar “Black Tie 2.0” will release in conjunction with Kith’s fall 2025 collection, which will be shown Sunday during the “Institution” runway show. Pricing has not been confirmed, but you should expect a premium fee. Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
