Taking to her IG handle, Mandhira Kapur dropped a photo that featured Sunjay Kapur, along with her and Rani Kapur. In the caption, Mandhira Kapur dropped an emotional note, wherein she revealed that it took her a day to pen down whatever she had in the post, as it was the occasion of Rakhi, and when she tried to be composed while offering flowers to her brother, their mom broke down into tears. She penned:
“I relive the moments spent with you, and now, I find myself protecting what you would have wanted, and what Dad dreamed, though it was always meant to be the other way around. If you were still here, everything would be different, everything would be better, my dear Bhaiya.”
Mandhira revealed that this precious thread of Rakhi remains unbroken, as the memories they shared. Mandhira further stated that she is protecting what her brother and father would want her to, though it was meant to be the other way around. She further mentioned that if her brother were there with them, things would have been surely different. She also shared how she tied a rakhi on the corner of her brother’s photo. In a word, Mandhira’s post for her brother left hearts feeling for the family.

For the unversed, Sunjay Kapur and Mandhira Kapur had a legal dispute between them. Reportedly, they had a disagreement over using the name ‘Sona’, which their father had founded. After Sunjay’s sudden demise, Mandhira took to her IG handle and penned a long note, wherein she revealed regret for not fixing her bond with her brother.
Mandhira, in her emotional note, stated that she had spent 4 years not speaking to her brother, as their childhood fight reached the peak level, and it just stung her that she couldn’t reach out and say that she loved him. She further mentioned that although she never explicitly said she loved Sunjay, he always knew this, which is why she couldn’t calm her mind.

A month after Sunjay Kapur’s demise, Rani Kapur, in a letter, asked Sona Comstar to postpone the AGM. She revealed that she hadn’t selected anyone to be part of the board’s membership until then. She also accused someone of usurping the family legacy and blocking her from all of her accounts. Rani Kapur said that only within a month of her son’s death, she was living on mercy, and behind closed doors, she was forced to sign some documents, which she couldn’t even understand, being in a broken state.
