Maluma is a Colombian rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. Known for his soulful voice, the singer can control the crowd at his will. However, during one of his recent concerts, he was seen stopping mid-segment to address a ‘baby’ situation. For the unversed, concerts can be extremely loud for a kid’s delicate ears, and when he saw that a mother had brought her little one to his show, without any ear protection, he couldn’t help but be involved.

Maluma stops his performance to call out a mother

Maluma is calling out his friends for bringing a baby to his concert. It was over the weekend when the singer stopped his show in Mexico City to scold a mother who had brought her one-year-old to the concert without any ear protection. The video surfacing online shows the singer asking the mother about her kid. He was quoted as saying:

“With all due respect… how old are they? A year old? Less? A year.”

In the same video, he was also seen asking the mom if she thought it was a good idea to bring such a little kid to a concert. He added that the decibels are so high at an event like this that the baby doesn’t even know what is going on. Maluma’s clip soon went viral on social media platforms. The singer could be quoted as saying:

“Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a 1-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f—— high? Where is the sound this loud? That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here.”

Maluma further reminded the woman of the responsibility she had for her child. He pointed out how she was waving her baby like it was a toy. He stressed that parents need to be aware of the situation they are putting their child into. Maluma further added that he was a father himself now and would never do that to his child. He was quoted as saying:

“Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility. You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real. I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.”

    Maluma’s journey as a father

Maluma welcomed his daughter, Paris Londono Gomez, in March 2024 with his girlfriend, Susana Gomez. The couple announced the arrival of their little girl on Instagram and he has since been a doting father to their little princess. He had once revealed that everything has changed for him since Paris was born, and now he wakes up every day to conquer the world because he wants to show his daughter that nothing is impossible. He shared that he goes to bed every night at 9 and wakes up at 5:30 am to hit the gym because he wants to be healthy and live a long life for his kids. He concluded, stating that he wants to make Paris proud.
