    Empowering students with skills to lead the fashion industry

    The future of fashion will not be led by trend followers – it will be led by thinkers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. As someone who has spent years working at the intersection of design, business, and community impact, I believe the most important shift students can make today is from thinking like employees to thinking like creators.

    Fashion is not just about garments. It is about ecosystems. It is about supply chains, storytelling, sustainability, and scale. And in this new landscape, students need more than design skills – they need entrepreneurial insight, global exposure, and the ability to connect culture with commerce.

    This is where a focused Fashion Entrepreneurship Program becomes crucial. A program that not only teaches students how to build collections, but how to build brands. A program that gives them the tools to understand markets, digital platforms, content strategy, and consumer behaviour – all while staying rooted in their identity and values.

    One of the most powerful aspects of this approach is connecting students directly with artisans. When young creators collaborate with traditional craftspeople, something magical happens. Not only do they learn the value of heritage and slow fashion, but they also begin to see their role as economic changemakers – bridging the gap between rural skills and global markets.

    In my journey, I’ve seen the difference that visibility can make. A single showcase, when done right, can transform a life, a label, a legacy. That’s why I believe in providing platforms where students don’t just learn, but launch. Where education isn’t just theoretical, but experiential.

    Today, the world is looking to India – not just for its textiles and traditions, but for its voices and visionaries. Our students must be ready. And they will be – if we empower them with the right mindset, the right tools, and the right platforms.

    Fashion needs more than designers. It needs entrepreneurs. It needs risk-takers, storytellers, and system-builders. And if we invest in shaping students into leaders – grounded in purpose, equipped with skill, and driven by passion – they won’t just follow the future. They’ll define it.
