On the occasion of Rakshabandhan 2025 (August 9), late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, took to her social media handle to share an emotional note for her brother, remembering him with love and longing.

In her touching message, she expressed how the memories of Sushant still feel vivid, yet the ache of his absence continues to grow. “Sometimes it feels like you never really left. That you’re still here, just beyond the veil, watching silently. And then, in the next breath, the ache hits. Will I truly never see you again? Will your laughter remain only an echo?” she wrote.
Shweta described the pain of losing her brother as “too sacred to be spoken aloud” and reflected on the fragility of life, noting that “only the Divine offers refuge.” She shared her faith that they will meet again someday, beyond the boundaries of time and worldly attachments.
“Until then, I remain here, still tying a Rakhi on your wrist in my heart, still praying that wherever you are, you are wrapped in joy, in peace, in light,” she added, signing off as “Gudia Di.”
Sushant Singh Rajput, known for films like Kai Po Che!, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and Chhichhore, passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. He was found dead in his Mumbai apartment, with postmortem reports citing asphyxia due to hanging. His untimely death sent shockwaves through the nation, sparking discussions about mental health, the pressures of the film industry, and the enduring grief of his loved ones.
